Holy crapola, we are making an unboxing video! So we aren't the best at these things, but we are so excited we thought we would share!

First of all I would like to apologize for the slight overexposure. I filmed it myself and it was really hard to check lighting and backlighting! So consider yourselves warned, watch this video with sunglasses on is my strong recommendation!

On to the lights. We have been lugging around the Vagabond and the Alien Bees 1600 light for a while. Many times we found it to be too big and way and I mean way too heavy for many of our journey's. We would love to have the extra power especially in some of the situations we get ourselves into, but the weight and size overuled the images.

We've been searching for portable, lightweight and powerful lights for a while. Although we love and will continue to love our speedlights, there are situations where we need more power and portability. There are some great choices out there, but way and I mean way to expensive for the backpacker's studio. When I got a call from my buddy Yechiel from Bhphoto and he told me about these lights, I was sold! I ordered two (Bhphoto has phenomenal customer service and I know that if I have any problems, they would take care of it) without even reading one review. If they where half as good as they where on paper, I was sold!

We still have not put them through their paces, but we will. We will make sure these lights are not only reliable, but durable. If not, then they are not for us. But for now, they look extremely promising! We'll keep everyone posted and up to date as we progress!

So are these new lights for everyone, absolutely not. Are we telling you that you must purchase these, absolutely not. These lights are excellent for people that need power, portability and a reasonable price! If you plan on buying these and never take them out of your studio, this is not for you! When the full review is finished we'll let you know who we thing they are for, who will benefit and if they truly are the next level to the backpacker's studio!
