Alright boys and girls welcome to PART 1 of the video series called "HOW TO FIND A LOCATION, MODEL & WARDROBE IN ONE HOUR".

This is the situation that will arise in many of your lives and here are a few tips on how to fix it!

Mikey had met this beautiful girl named Rachel Reed at a meetup group. She's dreamy and we instantly had great ideas to shoot her. But being a busy little lady, her time is limited and when she called us and said we could shoot her we didn't want to waste the opportunity.

The problem - we had almost ZERO prep time. We knew we wanted killer shots, but sometimes those killer shots take a little prep time.

So what did we do! 

WE CRUISED DOWNTOWN!

 We originally went looking for locations and realized that the artsy fartsy district has some of the coolest vintage and boutique stores. We immediatlely saw a huge lightenupandshoot style opportunity! We are going to walk in, explain the situation and hope that the owners/person working is cool enough to lend us some cool clothes. Never did we expect that they would set us up with props, location and styling. It goes to show how awesome the unknown can be.

 We came across a store name RAMBLIN' ROSE and we knew it was the place. Rosie was awesome! She had a kick booty retro style that we were looking for our shoot. Not only was she super cool and let us use the clothes from her kick booty store. She also gave us props, styling and just about anything else we needed!

It just goes to show you, when you need help, humans are always there for you!

So what's the point, get out and meet your neighborhood. Almost every city has a boutique/vintage store and most of the owners are extremely cool. After all they own a Vintage store, how cool is that! Make friends, offer your services and give a little back as well. Life is all about give and take and the more contacts you make, the easier it becomes.

In the commercial photography world a shoot like this would have taken days of planning and a ton of humans to pull off. But in reality, all you need is to introduce yourself and the magic just starts happening! We walked in expecting to get some clothes, and we walked out with some killer friends that we know we can count on in the future!
So thank you ROSIE for being such a kick booty person and making this shoot a success!

Part 1 is only the beginning, we make the most out of our situation, by using props and natural light. You don't need a killer location to take great photos. Like my friend Casie Shimansky says...If you don't have a location you make it!
