I returned late last night from 4 nights in New York City.  I didn't get off that fast moving train (called New York) until I landed in Florida.  I walked the Photo Expo Show on Thursday morning before giving a presentation at the B&H Photo event space.  David at the event space and his staff are simply amazing;  I can't thank them enough for inviting me back for a 3rd time this year. 

After the presentation I grabbed some Indian food at a funky little restaurant in the village with some friends. I called it an early night before heading to bed.  I wanted to be fresh for 2 days of Lightenupandshoot Workshop madness.  The event was a great success...I had a blast!!!!!  More on that later.  Until then...enjoy some of the portraits that the participants shot in total Lightenupandshoot Style. The New Orleans workshop was a blast: the French Quarter, Wharehouse District, Levee sunset shoot and cemetery shoot.  Check out the video BTS clip from the cemetery shoot with our model Ashley.

Last weekend I drove over to Cocoa Beach with an awesome team of creatives to shoot a model.  Gina, Rob, Jenna and I met up at the local pier for a series of photos that would be used in the models' portfolio and also to shoot content for a new Vbook series that I'm working on (more on that later). 

 

I posted some of the pics on my facebook page and talked a little bit about the 15 year old 80-200mm 2.8 lens that I used to get some really nice shots.  The point I wanted to make is that you don't have to buy the latest and greatest by Canon or Nikon.  Sometimes old glass can be found for half the price as the new.  I'm all about great quality without spending a small fortune.  At the end of the day I want amazing images, share my photography journey and have fun.  

A huge thanks to Victor for sending me a video.  Victor inspired me to put together a little promo piece that shows a glimpse into my adventure with Gina, Rob and Jenna on Cocoa Beach.  Stay tuned for the whole video coming soon!
